Anne H. Whitaker focuses on business development and career coaching for the Atlanta office of Counsel On Call.
Ms. Whitaker is a successful business professional with more than 20 years of broad experience in consulting, marketing, start-ups, law and education. In 1991, she transitioned from lawyer to entrepreneur and co-founded In-House Counsel, Inc., a legal staffing company. In-House Counsel was a pioneer in the temporary attorney industry and ultimately became a key firm for attorney staffing and careering in the Atlanta area. After selling the company in 1996, she continued to manage the office for two years.
Prior to entering the business world, Ms. Whitaker practiced real estate law in private practice for five years with the Atlanta law firms Glass, McCullough, Sherrill & Harrold and Goodman, Hudnall, Cohn & McManus, P.C.
Ms. Whitaker received her J.D., cum laude, from the University of Georgia School of Law in 1986. She served on the editorial board of the Georgia Law Review from 1984 to 1985.
She is licensed to practice law in Georgia. She is a member of the State Bar of Georgia, the Atlanta Bar Association, Lawyers Club of Atlanta, and Georgia Association of Women Lawyers (GAWL).
Over the past several years, Ms. Whitaker has created, chaired and spoken at numerous Atlanta Bar Association seminars for lawyers on career development and transition, and has spoken at seminars for other organizations including the State Bar of Georgia and Cox Communications. She is in the process of completing Corporate Coach University's Advanced Corporate Coaching Program and is licensed to administer the Highlands Ability Battery and other career planning assessments.
