Dalton to Lead Counsel On Call's Dallas Office
Experienced Attorney Offers Relevant Perspective, Counsel, Management
DALLAS | Tracy Dalton, formerly a senior attorney with leading corporations in the Dallas area, will lead Counsel On Call's first office west of the Mississippi River in Dallas, it was announced today.
In her role as executive director, Dalton will be based in Dallas and assist corporate legal departments and law firms with the growing pressures to dramatically reduce legal costs while improving the quality of service. With deep experience working within large corporations such as Hewlett-Packard, Bank of America and Countrywide Home Loans – as well as working as a senior associate at one of the largest law firms in the world, Howrey LLP – Dalton offers a comprehensive understanding of the challenges in today's legal marketplace.
"Tracy has a wealth of knowledge not only about the law and litigation, but of the business decisions corporations and law firms must make every day," said Jane H. Allen, president + founder of Counsel On Call. "She knows how to be successful not only on a case, but on the bottom line. She will be a real asset to our clients and attorneys alike."
Most recently, Dalton served as senior litigation counsel for Hewlett-Packard Company, where she managed employment litigation matters, worked closely with outside law firms on strategy, monitored and managed case budgets, and advised executives on the merits and strategies of litigation.
"The opportunity to lead Counsel On Call’s Texas office was a great fit for me," said Dalton. "The model of utilizing experienced attorneys who seek a different way to practice law to help clients meet their goals is exactly what today's legal market demands, and that is reflected in Counsel On Call's growth over the last decade. It continues to be a very exciting time for the company."
After graduating cum laude from Pepperdine University School of Law, Dalton worked as an associate with Duckor, Spradling & Metzger in San Diego before moving to Howrey’s office in Los Angeles, where she later became a senior associate. In 2004, she became the senior vice president and assistant general counsel for Countrywide Home Loans in Plano, Texas, before it was acquired by Bank of America, where she continued in her senior leadership role.
