Mr. Schmidt is Counsel On Call's director of marketing & communications and oversees and develops all communications, marketing and advertising initiatives.

He has more than 11 years of communications experience in the media and on the agency side. His background is in strategic planning, writing, media relations, materials development and event coordination.

Previously, Mr. Schmidt was part of the senior staff at McNeely Pigott & Fox Public Relations, one of the largest independently owned PR firms in the Southeast, managing accounts in a wide variety of industries. Prior to MP&F, he served on the editorial staff for South Carolina-based LINKS — The Best of Golf magazine.

Mr. Schmidt graduated from Washington University in St. Louis with a degree in English literature and a special focus on advertising.
