Jane Allen didn't think of herself as someone who was going to help transform the way talented attorneys practice law.

Actually, she was quite nervous when she decided to work on an assignment basis in a prominent Nashville law firm so she could spend more time with her children. But when she realized how much more control she had over her schedule, that anxiety started to wane.

When her attorney colleagues and friends saw what she was doing — and how happy she was — they wanted to be a part of it. In 2000, Counsel On Call officially opened its doors. As more talented attorneys joined Jane's ranks, business started to blossom.
