Janet's assignment was supposed to last only a month.

After earning her degree from Texas A&M, Janet worked as a paralegal at Texaco for 17 years, assisting with transactions and filings from three different offices — Houston, New York and London.

After the company's merger with Chevron, she and her husband decided to move to Atlanta and embark upon new careers.

When ready to get to work, she called Counsel On Call and was immediately placed with a division of a formerly public company that had just been taken private. The legal department had one specific project in mind — to assemble closing binders for the company's most recent corporate transactions — which was to last about 30 days.

Janet quickly proved to be indispensable and has been working on various projects for this client ever since — including corporate transactions and filings, contract review and restructuring of the company's business units.

Janet maintains a semi-flex schedule, working 30 to 40 hours per week as the workload dictates, and enjoys gardening, biking, hiking and all the other outdoor activities that life in the South affords.
