Commuting from the suburbs of Atlanta on a daily basis is enough to test anyone's nerves, but when your young son is about to start playing team sports and you want to be involved, it soon becomes a larger problem.

For Yuseff, who wanted to spend more time with his family and coach his son's teams, the solution became an easy one. Although he enjoyed working in one of Atlanta's most prestigious law firms, he decided he needed to find a work situation that was more conducive to want he wanted to do outside the office.

“Counsel On Call found a great position for me that really met my needs,” said Yuseff, a former basketball player at the University of Nebraska. “I still work what would be considered a ‘typical' work week, but I know when I'm going to be able to leave the office and I can schedule my work around my son's games and activities when I need to.”

With more than 12 years of experience as a paralegal with large firms, Yuseff is accustomed to having significant responsibilities and being placed in a leadership role. With Counsel On Call, he's working for a fast-growing company, reviewing leases, corresponding with landlords, and coordinating other paralegals' activities. It's a different environment, but one he sought.

The new situation has been exactly what he wanted. It's never a problem for Yuseff to make a practice or a game, take a trip with his son (they recently went to Wisconsin to go fishing), or help his daughter pack for college. Keeping up with all of the activities, on the other hand, is a little more difficult.

“My son has so much energy and is really into sports; he wears me out,” Yuseff joked. “There's always something going on between his school activities, baseball, basketball — you name it and he's into it. It's a lot of fun, and I'm really glad to be a part of it all.”
