Client Need

A Fortune 500 company wants to reduce costs while maintaining quality in handling eDiscovery. The company wants attorneys who will work with them on an indefinite basis, learn the company’s business, increase the efficiency in responding to discovery needs and remain dedicated to the company’s discovery. In addition, the company wants attorneys who have the experience to add value to the efforts surrounding various lawsuits.

Solution

Working in concert with the in-house litigation attorney, Counsel On Call selects a team leader who has experience managing discovery in complex litigation and who will work well with the client’s in-house attorney. Counsel On Call then recommends team members, all with at least three years of complex litigation experience, who will work well together and have the ability to understand the complexities of any litigation.

The team leader bills at $72 per hour and each supporting team member at $60 per hour.

Result

The attorneys continue to work on-site with the client. The team leader communicates with the in-house attorney on a scheduled basis to provide updates on the various projects and obtain feedback for any unanswered questions. In addition, the team leader ensures efficiency and responsiveness to the company’s numerous requests.

When expedited reviews arise, Counsel On Call provides additional, similarly qualified attorneys to assist the existing team. The team has always completed reviews ahead of any set deadlines.
