A corporate client needs a partner to work with on discovery in a large piece of securities litigation, in which documents are located in various cities throughout the U.S.

Solution

Working in concert with the client’s various outside counsel, Counsel On Call assembles a travel team of six attorneys, all of whom have at least three years of litigation experience. Counsel On Call’s team supports outside counsel’s discovery and litigation efforts and coordinates all travel and lodging for the team.

Result

Once the Counsel On Call attorneys were trained on the company’s
background and the issues pertaining to the litigation, they were then able to conduct the review in a timely and seamless manner. The team worked on discovery and litigation support matters for a period of six months, including time over the holiday season, in a number of locations.

The client saved thousands of dollars in outside legal fees, gained consistency by having the same attorneys review the documents (regardless of geographic location) and saved time by having only one group of attorneys to educate on the company and its business.
