Workload Support

Client Need

A senior-level corporate attorney is asked to spearhead the bankruptcy
process of many of the company’s suppliers. The project requires all of the attorney’s time to determine whether any of the suppliers are potential acquisitions in addition to logistical matters. A solid corporate attorney is needed to handle the day-to-day workload for the in-house attorney during this project.

Solution

Counsel On Call recommends one of its attorneys, who has seven years of general corporate/mergers and acquisitions experience, to work 40 hours per week. While in private practice, the attorney represented several companies in the same industry as the client and had significant experience drafting agreements pertaining to that industry.

Result

The company was thrilled with the attorney’s ability to jump in and make an immediate impact on the workload. The general counsel stated that the Counsel On Call attorney had skills that were “right on point,” including substantive experience and the maturity to work with senior executives. He lamented that there was not a permanent position available for the attorney when the assignment ended.
